Honestly, it still feels a little unreal writing this. A year ago I was just a delegate sitting in my first MUN, stressing over speeches, panicking before my GSL, surviving chaotic unmods, and trying to understand what in the world a motion is. And now, I'm preparing to welcome all of you to the very first edition of Vimarsh MUN.

From the start, one thing was very clear: I didn't want Vimarsh to feel like just another school MUN. As delegates active in the circuit, we've all seen what sometimes holds school MUNs back. Be it inexperienced vice chairs, the same repetitive committees, or delegates putting in a lot of effort but receiving awards that do not reflect it.

So, while planning Vimarsh, we prepared to approach everything from a delegate's perspective. And here we are, with one of the best and most experienced set of chairs and vice chairs, new concept committees, controversial agendas, and an effort to make delegates' achievements feel valued.

Vimarsh will feature one of the biggest prize pools introduced by a school MUN in the entire state. But beyond all of that what really matters to us is the experience delegates leave with. Because MUNs might be intimidating at first but over time they become addictive because of people you meet, the confidence you build, the speeches you end up being proud of, the adrenaline inside the committee room, and most importantly the friends you make from other schools.

And at Vimarsh we will try our best to provide the best committee experience. Whether it's your first MUN or your fifteenth, I hope Vimarsh will become the conference you remember for a long time.
